Climate Change and the Poles

Globe

Climate change is a global problem, but its effects are magnified in the Polar Regions. The changes being seen in the ice, snow and permafrost do not just affect the Polar Regions, but will affect the world through changes in sea level, ocean currents, marine ecosystems. Climate change is a challenge for us all. Scientists are investigating the changes past, present and future and the mechanisms behind them. Politicians and decision-makers must understand the economic impacts of these changes and put policies in place to prevent a crisis. Artists can help communicate this issue and evoke an emotive response to this problem. Find out more here!
